Why central crew not despatched to Manipur, says Mamata at Kolkata rally

KOLKATA: Continuing her tirade towards the Centre over the Manipur disaster, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday mentioned the BJP’s ‘Beti Bachao’ scheme has now became ‘Beti Jalao’ (Burn our daughters).

The TMC boss puzzled why the Centre by no means bothered to ship central groups to Manipur, the place ethnic strife has claimed over 160 lives to date.

Banerjee mentioned if the BJP returns to energy for the third consecutive time on the Centre, “Democracy will stop to exist within the nation.”
