During a poignant visit to Assam’s tea heartlands, BJP leader Nitin Nabin declared that the state’s tea garden workers deserve all credit for its global brand. Touring Tinsukia and Dibrugarh on Thursday, he wove tales of spiritual richness, cultural unity, and the laborers’ indispensable role in Assam’s fame.
On X, Nabin recounted his pilgrimage to Tinsukia’s Barekuri Namghar, hailing it as the spiritual epicenter of Moran faith and fusion. The village, he said, teaches lessons in living alongside nature, home to rare Hoolock Gibbons—’Holo Bandor’ to locals—as spotlighted by PM Modi on ‘Mann Ki Baat.’
‘Here, spirituality, heritage, and wildlife unite in perfect harmony,’ Nabin marveled, sharing that his prayers sought peace and prosperity for India.
In Dibrugarh, a traditional Assamese repast at Sarbananda Sonowal’s Lakhinagar abode introduced him to the region’s legendary warmth and gastronomic delights.
Nabin then extolled Assam tea’s legendary status: endless verdant plantations and tea with unmatched aroma and quality that rules world shelves. ‘This acclaim is forged by the sweat and steadfastness of tea workers,’ he asserted. ‘Their discipline powers our economy and preserves our legacy—a true source of pride.’
His itinerary affirmed commitments to safeguarding Assam’s cultural essence, ecological treasures, and economic engines, pushing for balanced progress that includes everyone.
