A man who used YouTube to preach about ethical conduct and crime prevention was arrested in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, for his involvement in numerous theft cases. The accused, Manoj Singh, managed a YouTube channel called ‘Change Your Life’ where he delivered daily lectures on avoiding crime. The police arrested Singh from Khandagiri Badi. He was from Cuttack and presented himself as a self-help guru on his channel. He shared videos on how to live a life free of crime and principled living. Law enforcement recovered 200 grams of gold jewelry and 1 lakh rupees in cash from his possession. Singh has been charged in more than ten cases. Police began monitoring him after receiving information about a theft at Khandagiri Badi. The authorities have cautioned the public against blindly trusting online figures. The homeowner of the house that was robbed on August 14, said they were away from home at the time. On returning, they found the front gate and locker room broken, and all the gold jewelry and 5 lakh rupees cash were missing.
