Zubair dropped at Bengaluru, cell, laptop computer recovered

BENGALURU: Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair was dropped at Bengaluru on Thursday by the particular cell, Delhi police to get better his cell phone and laptop computer, which he used for posting on Twitter in 2018 as a part of investigation within the case.

A four-member crew of the Intelligence, Fusion & Strategic Operations (IFSO) Special Cell of Delhi Police landed on the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), Bengaluru within the forenoon and drove Zubair to his residence from the place they recovered his digital devices.

They had been offered native help by Bengaluru City police. “The electronic gadgets will be sent for forensic examination to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Rohini,to retrieve old and deleted files,” stated sources.

The crew has left for Delhi with Zubair, they added. Zubair was arrested on June 27 on expenses of allegedly hurting spiritual sentiments following a grievance by a social media person who referred to the previous’s tweet from 2018. The police had registered an FIR towards Zubair in reference to the grievance underneath Sections 153-A (selling enmity between totally different teams) and 295-A (malicious acts, meant to outrage spiritual emotions) of the Indian Penal Code. Meanwhile, the Twitter deal with, which had flagged Zubair’s tweet, has been deleted.
