In a strong retort to Rahul Gandhi’s recent comments, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has defended the Indian Army’s apolitical nature. Speaking at a rally in Banka, Bihar, Singh urged the Congress leader not to involve soldiers in political debates. He asserted that the soldiers’ only commitment is to ‘Sainya Dharma,’ the soldier’s duty, and that their valor consistently reflects positively on India. Singh highlighted that caste and sectarian politics have proven detrimental to the country’s progress, advocating for the inclusion and advancement of all social strata.
The Defence Minister pointed to ‘Operation Sindoor’ as an example of India’s strengthened defense capabilities. This operation, conducted after a terrorist incident in Pahalgam, successfully targeted and destroyed key terrorist infrastructure. Singh indicated that the operation is on temporary hiatus but will be reactivated. He proudly stated that India’s global reputation has significantly improved, and it is now viewed as a potent and influential nation on the world stage, a stark contrast to its previous image.
