    The FIDE Rankings for June 2025 have brought considerable changes, particularly among Indian chess players. The recent Norway Chess 2025 tournament saw impressive performances. Magnus Carlsen won the tournament for the seventh time, with Fabiano Caruana taking second. D Gukesh finished third, followed by Hikaru Nakamura and Arjun Erigaisi.

    Arjun Erigaisi has now claimed the top spot among Indian chess players in the FIDE Rankings, surpassing D Gukesh. Erigaisi is now ranked third globally with an Elo rating of 2782, while D Gukesh is fifth with 2776. This achievement highlights Erigaisi’s progress.
