Indian Wells: I’m having fun with competing once more, says Emma Raducanu after win over Magda Linette

British tennis star Emma Raducanu has mentioned that she is completely satisfied to compete as soon as once more after beating Poland’s Magda Linette within the spherical of 64 of Indian Wells. In her first event because the Australian Open, Raducanu reached the last-32 with a straight units win over Linette.

By India Today Web Desk: British tennis star Emma Raducanu has mentioned that she is completely satisfied to compete as soon as once more after beating Poland’s Magda Linette within the spherical of 64 of Indian Wells. In her first event because the Australian Open, Raducanu reached the last-32 with a straight units win over Linette.

Speaking after her win, Raducanu mentioned she got here into the event with little apply and is completely satisfied that she will be able to compete and win.

“I mean, this tournament I had little practice in the last few weeks, that really playing the matches has been a bonus and a win. I’m enjoying competing again,” said Raducanu.

She went on to say that she cherishes every opportunity she gets to step out on the court. Raducanu beat Linette 7-6, 6-2 to advance to the last-32 stage.

“Yeah, I feel this sense of competitors undoubtedly beats, you understand, being sick or injured or out. So I’m actually simply cherishing each time I get to step out on the match courtroom,” Raducanu added.

While looking back on her injury history, the 20-year-old said you create your own luck and said she would not trade her 2021 US Open title for the world.

“Yeah, I mean, sometimes you wonder, like, you think, like how is this possible. But then very quickly I think you create your own luck. It works both ways. I won the US Open as well, and I think I also have to take the bad luck sometimes, because also, like, good fortune has also come upon me. I think that I wouldn’t trade that title for the world. Yeah, I’m just prepared to take whatever it takes, knowing that I have that in the bank,” mentioned Raducanu.

Raducanu is more likely to play her subsequent match on Monday after the remainder of the present matches are completed in Indian Wells.
