India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate provided insights on the India-Pakistan match during the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s. He praised the Indian team for their behavior under pressure amid provocative actions from Pakistan. The match, played at the Dubai International Stadium, involved multiple incidents, particularly from Pakistani players like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Sahibzada Farhan. Rauf’s actions, including hand signals, faced scrutiny and criticism. Ten Doeschate acknowledged the intensity of the situation and the challenges faced by the players. He emphasized that they were proud of the players’ focus and performance. Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill created a strong opening partnership, with Gill scoring 47 and Abhishek contributing 74. The Indian team successfully chased down Pakistan’s score of 172, with crucial runs from Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma. Ten Doeschate noted the maturity of the players. The team will compete against Bangladesh in the Super 4s on Wednesday, September 24, at the same venue.
