The Indian automotive market is gearing up for a surge in SUV options as Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra prepare to release updated models. Within the next few months, consumers can anticipate the arrival of the Tata Punch facelift, the Harrier and Safari SUV petrol versions, the updated Thar 3-door, the Bolero Neo, and the Bolero SUVs. The Tata Punch facelift is expected to feature design elements influenced by the Punch EV, which includes a revised front grille, updated bumpers, and new headlights. This could also include new alloy wheels, a redesigned tailgate, and LED tail lamps. Interior updates could bring a new two-spoke steering wheel, a blind spot monitor, an 8-speaker music system, ventilated front seats, and six airbags. The 2025 Tata Punch facelift will maintain the existing 1.2-liter NA petrol and CNG engine choices. The Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs will soon be equipped with a new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 170 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, available with both manual and automatic transmissions. Mahindra is also planning to refresh its SUV lineup. The Bolero and Bolero Neo facelifts have been spotted during testing, showing significant design and feature enhancements. The 2025 Bolero Neo might get a larger 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, ventilated seats, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The 1.5-liter mHawk diesel engine will likely remain. The Thar facelift will continue with the current engine options. Spy photos suggest exterior updates, including a new grille, new alloy wheels, and LED lighting. Inside, there could be a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, and other upgrades. The current engine lineup, consisting of the 2.0-liter turbo petrol, 1.5-liter turbo petrol, and 2.2-liter turbo diesel engines, will be retained.
