As the India-Australia T20I series stands at a 1-1 stalemate after three games, the impending fourth T20I in Canberra holds significant importance for both sides. India’s morale is high after a spectacular five-wicket win in the third T20I, successfully chasing 187. In a strategic move, spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been released from the squad to concentrate on red-ball cricket.

The team that secured victory in the previous match, which included the likes of Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, and Jitesh Sharma, is expected to largely remain unchanged. However, a potential significant change is on the cards for India, with Nitish Kumar Reddy reportedly being considered to replace Shivam Dube. Reddy’s potential to contribute with both bat in the lower order and as an extra bowling option is a key factor being considered.

Australia is also gearing up for changes. Travis Head has returned to domestic commitments, paving the way for Glenn Maxwell’s inclusion, who is likely to bat in the middle order. Josh Philippe is another name in contention, potentially opening with captain Mitchell Marsh. The race for a 2-1 series lead is intensifying, making this next match a critical battle.
