    The monsoon season is bringing heavy rainfall to numerous states throughout India. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued warnings for intense downpours in several regions, with mountainous and lowland areas being particularly affected.

    Delhi is forecast to receive continuous rainfall. The rain is expected to continue, with thunderstorms likely today, and the pattern extending through August 31st. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are anticipated on September 1st and 2nd.

    **Uttar Pradesh Weather Update**

    Rainfall has subsided in Uttar Pradesh. The remaining days of August will be hot and humid. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible in western and eastern regions today, but the weather department has not predicted widespread heavy rain. Weather conditions are expected to shift again beginning September 1st.

    Bihar is predicted to experience heavy rainfall from August 30th to September 1st. Heavy rain is expected in Jharkhand on August 29th-30th. Heavy rainfall may occur in Chhattisgarh and Odisha today. Eastern Rajasthan and Haryana are likely to see heavy rainfall over the next week. Western Rajasthan could experience rain from August 29th to 31st.

    **Punjab Faces Rising Waters**

    Light rain is possible in some areas of Punjab today. Kapurthala district is facing severe flooding due to consistent rainfall over the past two days. The Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers, as well as other waterways, are experiencing rising water levels due to heavy rainfall and the release of water from the Pong and Bhakra dams.

    **Rain Across the Nation**

    Heavy rainfall is expected in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and interior Karnataka through August 29th. The northeastern states continue to be affected by the rain. Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are expected to receive consistent rainfall over the next seven days. Arunachal Pradesh may experience heavy rainfall through August 30th.

    Jammu will continue to see thunderstorms and rain. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued warnings. Uttarakhand is forecast to have extremely heavy rainfall today, tomorrow, and on September 1st and 2nd. Heavy rainfall is possible in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh over the next week.
