Delhi’s healthcare revolution continues with Indira Gandhi Hospital in Dwarka announcing key expansions that prioritize patient-centric care. Under CM Rekha Gupta’s directive, the government is fortifying public hospitals to handle growing health needs seamlessly.

Dialysis services lead the charge, with beds surging from 35 to 50, poised to cut delays and provide seamless support for kidney patients. The radiology wing’s new 500 MA X-ray machine targets urgent cases, delivering rapid, high-resolution images to aid quick decisions.

Surgical capacity ramps up as OT timings extend to 8 AM-8 PM, ensuring more procedures without compromising quality. A collaborative corneal retrieval program with AIIMS promises to amplify eye donation drives and restore sight to many.

The facility’s Brain Health Clinic, launched in May 2025, offers specialized care for neurological and mental health woes, seeing 20-30 neuro patients and 15-20 psych cases each day with comprehensive diagnostics and counseling.

‘CM Rekha Gupta’s vision drives us to offer not just beds, but outcomes-oriented healthcare,’ remarked Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh. These upgrades exemplify Delhi’s strategy to build resilient infrastructure, specialized expertise, and round-the-clock emergency readiness.
