Law enforcement in Indore struck a decisive blow against illegal arms dealers on Wednesday, with STF personnel confiscating five advanced pistols and detaining two perpetrators from Khargone. This high-stakes intervention underscores Madhya Pradesh’s aggressive strategy to neutralize threats from prohibited weapons.

Directed by DSP Rajesh Singh Chauhan, the operation mobilized two crack teams. Team one included Inspector Ramesh Chauhan, Head Constable Bhupendra Gupta, and Constable Vivek Dwivedi; the counterpart featured Head Constable Adarsh Dikshit, Constables Devraj Baghel, and Devendra Singh. Reliable intel about illicit gun trading spurred the rapid deployment.

Upon arriving at the intelligence-led location, the teams laid a trap, halting two men for inspection. The frisking uncovered the deadly haul—five modern pistols equipped with magazines—none backed by legitimate permits. The suspects admitted ties to Boradiya village, Bhikangaon thana, Khargone district.

Intensive grilling is now underway to map the supply chain, distribution channels, and potential misuse scenarios. Legal proceedings have commenced, with all seized items under secure custody.

This achievement bolsters public confidence in the STF’s capabilities and sets a precedent for future raids. In an era of rising urban crime, such vigilant actions are vital to safeguarding lives and upholding the rule of law.
