    Satya Rajput, Raipur. On the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, a mega parent-teacher meeting is being organized in the state to provide information to parents about quality education and new education policy in Chhattisgarh and to ensure public participation in education. So far, parent-teacher meetings have been held in 5500 clusters. More than 10 lakh parent-teachers have participated in it.

    It is noteworthy that in the review meeting of the Education Department, Chief Minister Sai had given instructions to organize parent-teacher meetings in government schools like the PTM held in private schools. Chief Minister Sai himself is also participating in parent-teacher meetings. During his stay in Jashpur district, he attended the parent-teacher meeting organized in village Bandarchuna and discussed the new education policy with the school children as well as interacted with them about studies. Secretary School Education Siddharth Komal Pardeshi also participated in the meeting. Director Public Education Divya Mishra also participated in the meetings organized in 10 clusters of Mahasamund district today.

    School Education Department Secretary Siddharth Komal Pardeshi told that so far parent-teacher meetings have been held in 5500 clusters. More than 10 lakh parent-teachers have participated in it. Under the Ek Ped Maa Naam Abhiyan, parents and teachers have planted more than two lakh saplings in schools. He told that the main objective of the parent-teacher meeting is to ensure participation of parents with teachers in studies and school activities. There is a plan to organize parent-teacher meetings after the quarterly and half-yearly examination results in the current academic session. He told that for the physical, mental and all-round development of children, coordination is to be established between school and parents as well as to make parents aware of the entire activities of the children.

    School Education Secretary Pardeshi said that during these events, orientation workshops for teachers are also being organized. Along with the cluster principal, parents, school development committee members, public representatives, counselors, teachers, educationists, psychologists, doctors, etc. are participating in these workshops. More than 65 thousand teachers were oriented in these meetings. Apart from this, more than 16 thousand counselors, psychologists, doctors and educationists gave their consent.

    School Education Secretary Pardeshi said that in these meetings, public representatives, district collectors and parents are also taking oath for Ullas Navbharat Literacy Program. After the meeting, invitation feasts are also being organized in schools. Apart from discussing with parents on National Education Policy in parent-teacher meetings, suggestions are being given on the arrangements to be made by parents at home for the education of children, apart from this, parents are being made to download apps for schemes and education quality improvement programs, information about competitive examinations and use of digital platforms.
