    The monsoon season is currently bringing heavy rainfall to a majority of the Indian states. The Meteorological Department has issued alerts, warning of the possibility of heavy rainfall, strong winds and lightning strikes in the coming days. Delhi witnessed light to moderate showers in various areas on Friday.

    According to the forecast, the national capital, Delhi will have cloudy skies throughout Saturday, with chances of thunderstorms, lightning and moderate rainfall. Similar weather conditions are expected for Sunday as well. The maximum temperature today may reach 36 degrees Celsius while the minimum is expected to be 27 degrees Celsius.

    For Uttar Pradesh, the weather department has predicted the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rainfall in various districts today. A warning has also been issued for July 6. Today, Western UP can expect thunderstorms, and showers. There’s a possibility of lightning strikes and heavy rainfall. Eastern Uttar Pradesh is likely to experience strong winds and heavy rainfall in many areas. On July 6, most areas of Western Uttar Pradesh may witness rainfall along with thunderstorms. Many areas may also experience lightning strikes. There’s a possibility of rainfall in most parts of Eastern UP.

    Bihar’s Patna, Gaya, Jehanabad, and the other 19 districts of South Bihar are under the watch of the weather department. There is a prediction of thunderstorms and lightning. The same applies to Jharkhand, where heavy rainfall can be expected in the northern parts of the state. There are chances of thunderstorms and winds blowing at 30 to 40 kmph.

    Between today and July 10th, isolated areas in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh may witness heavy rainfall. Rajasthan is also expected to receive heavy rainfall in isolated areas. From today to July 9th, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may receive rainfall. On July 6 and 7, Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi, Kangra and Sirmaur districts may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.

    Southern Konkan (coastal Maharashtra) and Goa may witness extremely heavy rainfall on isolated locations today, tomorrow, and the day after. In the next 7 days, Konkan and Goa, the Ghat regions of central Maharashtra and isolated areas of Gujarat are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.
