International Rugby Tournament to Bring Top Asian Teams to Rajgir, Bihar

The Asia Rugby Under-20 Sevens Championship 2025 will be held in Rajgir, Bihar, on August 9th and 10th. This event will mark a significant moment for sports in the region. The tournament will feature eight men’s and eight women’s teams representing leading rugby nations in Asia. Participating teams include those from India, Hong Kong, China, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia (men only), and Nepal (women only). Former rugby player and actor Rahul Bose has expressed his excitement about the tournament, recognizing the positive impact on Bihar’s sports scene. Teams will start arriving on August 7th, with the opening ceremony on August 8th at the Rajgir Sports Complex. The championship will bring together the top-ranked teams from across Asia. The Bihar women’s team’s recent silver medal win at the National Games, along with successes at the school level, highlight the state’s progress.
