Investigation Intensifies in Zubeen Garg’s Death with Murder Charge Addition

Following the death of Zubeen Garg, over 60 FIRs were registered across Assam, which has accelerated the investigation. The singer was set to attend the North East India Festival in Singapore, organized by Shyamkanu Mahanta. Initial reports cited scuba diving as the cause of death, but the post-mortem revealed drowning, prompting a detailed investigation. The CID has added a murder charge to the case. The investigation team is examining all angles of the death in Singapore and has obtained necessary permissions to proceed with the investigation.
