The competitive landscape of the tech industry often sees companies engaging in playful rivalries. Following the release of the iPhone 17 Series, Samsung seized the chance to playfully criticize Apple. While Samsung has successfully established itself within the foldable phone market, Apple has yet to introduce a foldable device, or even allude to one. Samsung, after the new iPhone series launch, made remarks about foldable phones, with implicit references to Apple.

After the official launch of the iPhone 17 Series, Samsung re-shared a 2022 post on X, which stated, ‘Let us know when it folds.’

Samsung had entered the foldable market before 2022 and has since chosen to highlight this fact.

Samsung did not stop there. They also criticized Apple’s camera capabilities, saying, “48MP x 3 still doesn’t equal 200MP.” Furthermore, they highlighted that users had to wait five years for a sleep score feature.

The Samsung posts generated responses on X. Many Apple supporters took the company’s side.

One user proposed that Samsung could gain ground by enhancing its video recording quality.

Some users commented that 200MP doesn’t necessarily result in quality photos.

Certain users stated that Samsung should resolve the green line problem that some of their phones experience.

Apple launched the iPhone 17 Air, which is the thinnest handset released, measuring 5.6 millimeters thick. The iPhone is slimmer than Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge, which is 5.8 millimeters. The iPhone 17 Air will go on sale September 19, starting at ₹1,19,900 for the 256GB model. Additional storage options such as 512GB and 1TB are also offered.
