The individuals selected by Khamenei are Ali Larijani, Ali Shamkhani, and Ahmadian. Larijani is known for his hardline stance and has served as a representative to the Security Council in the past. Shamkhani is a reformist and previously served as the secretary of the Security Council and as Iran’s defense minister.
