Prayagraj. The petition of SP’s outgoing MLA Irfan Solanki from Sisamau seat of Kanpur was to be heard in Allahabad High Court today, but the hearing has been postponed. Now Irfan Solanki’s petition will be heard on July 25.
In fact, the hearing was postponed due to the UP government asking for time to file an objection on Irfan Solanki’s petition.
Solanki has filed an appeal in the High Court against the 7-year sentence. In the appeal, a plea has been made to cancel the sentence. Irfan’s petition will now be heard in the High Court on July 25.
Let us tell you that Irfan Solanki has also demanded a stay on his sentence and bail till the court’s decision comes. Due to the 7-year sentence, Irfan Solanki’s membership of the Legislative Assembly has been canceled.
