Iron Rods Trailer Wrecks Pole, Transformers in Giridih

A major traffic incident unfolded at Babantoli Chowk on the Tundi route Saturday night when a trailer transporting iron rods lost control. The vehicle collided forcefully with a roadside electricity pole, causing significant damage. The loud noise attracted locals who found the trailer severely impacting the pole. Two transformers mounted on the pole were knocked down and destroyed. A neighboring electronics store also sustained damage from the accident. A fortunate circumstance was the existing power outage in the vicinity, which prevented severe casualties or property destruction. The electricity department was alerted by residents and subsequently cut off power to the affected line for safety. The trailer driver fled the crash site, leaving the heavily damaged vehicle behind. The trailer was reportedly on its way to Giridih.
