ISRO is on track to launch the first uncrewed mission of the Gaganyaan program in December, stated ISRO Chief V. Narayanan. The mission will utilize a half-humanoid robot, Vyommitra, to simulate a human presence in space. Successful completion of this initial mission will be followed by two additional uncrewed missions next year. The ultimate aim is to send Indian astronauts to space and bring them back safely by the first quarter of 2027. The Gaganyaan crew has been selected, trained, and is being prepared for the mission.

ISRO is also focused on Chandrayaan 4 and Chandrayaan 5. Furthermore, a completed module of the space station is scheduled for orbit by 2035.

ISRO plans to increase the number of satellites launched over the next three years, increasing it by threefold. ISRO is also improving the payload capacity of its Mark III launcher. Astronauts Shubhanshu Shukla and Prasanth Nair have received thorough training, which will be applied to the Gaganyaan program.
