Jagdalpur witnessed the Nuakhai Milan Samaroh, a divisional-level celebration, coupled with the inauguration of the “Olek” social building at the Forest School complex. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai used the platform to announce a range of tribal development initiatives. He outlined the Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Yojana, a program launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, backed by an 80,000 crore rupees investment, aimed at the upliftment of tribal-dominated villages. He also presented the Prime Minister Janman Yojana, designed specifically for the advancement of particularly backward tribes. A key announcement was the approval of 75 lakh rupees for the Dhurwa community, earmarked for the construction of domes at five locations. The Chief Minister also pledged support for proposals put forth by 36 sarpanches for village development. During the event, CM Sai offered prayers to Maa Danteshwari and paid respects to the Dhurwa community’s hero, Shaheed Gundadhur. He emphasized the importance of the Nuakhai Milan Samaroh as a cultural touchstone, ensuring its legacy for generations. Sai mentioned the Special Tribal Area Development Authority’s role in Bastar and Sarguja divisions and discussed the Niyad Nellanar Yojana, which is providing crucial infrastructure such as roads and utilities in areas affected by Maoist activities. Present at the event were Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, MP Mahesh Kashyap, MLA Kiran Dev, and numerous other representatives.
