The Jharkhand Cabinet has given the green light to the dismissal of four female doctors serving in various districts across the state. The doctors facing termination include Dr. Farhana, a gynecologist at Sadar Hospital, Giridih; Dr. Jyoti Kumari, a medical officer at the Additional Primary Health Center, Balkush (Tundi), Dhanbad, currently on deputation at the Primary Health Center, Topchanchi, Dhanbad; Dr. Bhavna, a medical officer at the Community Health Center, Markachcho, Koderma; and Dr. Rinku Kumari Singh, a medical officer at the Community Health Center, Chandankiyari, Bokaro. Additionally, the Cabinet approved the removal of Dr. Indranath Prasad, a medical officer at Sadar Hospital, Sahibganj.
Among other key decisions, the Cabinet decided on the allocation of Guruji’s residence to his wife, Rupi Soren. The Morhabadi-based property was allocated for Guruji’s lifetime use.
The Cabinet also approved several key items. The Jharkhand Free and Compulsory Child Education (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025, were approved. The implementation of guidelines for recording evidence of vulnerable witnesses in 2025 was approved. Approval was given for the appointment of a dependent of Gopal Thakur, a former daily worker, on compassionate grounds, based on the orders of the Jharkhand High Court. The Jharkhand State Road Safety Fund (Amendment) Rules-2025 was approved, as well as the provision for pension and family pension eligibility for temporary clerks who served as additional clerks after December 1, 2004.
The re-publication of the Census-2027 notification in Jharkhand was approved, following guidelines from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The issuance of the Jharkhand Diseases Donor Organ and Transplantation Guidelines was approved. The duties of the Women, Child Development, and Social Security Department were expanded to include subjects related to manual scavengers, following the First Schedule of the Jharkhand Executive Rules, -2000 (as amended).
Financial approvals included administrative approval for the third revised estimate of Rs 1851 crore 67 lakh 74 thousand for the Punasi Reservoir Scheme. Ex-post facto approval was granted for the live photo requirement for applicants of the Jharkhand Chief Minister’s Maiyan Samman Yojana. The formation of the Chief Minister Jharkhand International Migrant Worker Grant and Assistance Fund was approved, designed to support international migrant workers during crises.
The PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme for the financial year 2025-26 was approved, aimed at assisting in the organization of food processing units in the unorganized sector. The second revised administrative approval was given for the construction of a Road Over Bridge (ROB) at Level Crossing Number 04/E on the Satsangnagar-Bhirakhibad Path (MDR-235), between Jasidih-Vaidyanathdham station, at a cost of Rs 49.10 crore, with the state contributing Rs 40.63 crore. Additionally, the Cabinet authorized the reconstruction of the Bariyatu Kalikaran Path (MDR-101) to Hundru via Tonagatu IPL Factory Path, transferring responsibility from the Rural Works Department to the Road Construction Department, with an estimated budget of Rs 34.36 crore.
The adoption of the Inland Vessels (Life Saving Appliances) Rules 2022, as notified by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, was approved. The formation of the State Sahitya Akademi and the Jharkhand State Sangeet Natak Akademi were authorized to promote cultural activities and unity. The Jharkhand Tourism Development and Registration Act (Amendment) Bill-2025 was also approved.
The state’s participation in the World Bank-funded Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project was approved. The Jharkhand Coaching Center (Control and Regulation) Bill-2025 was approved. The transfer of the Keliasol to Khadapathar Path in Dhanbad was authorized, from the Rural Works Department to the Road Construction Department, with a construction budget of Rs 58.07 crore.
Further approvals included Rs 75.97 crore for the construction of the Hata Chaibasa railway crossing to Barachiru and Power Grid Link Path, as well as the construction of 50 Anganwadi centers in Scheduled Tribe dominated areas. Approval was also granted for an agreement for Dhanbad Airport projects under the PPP mode. Approved increases in the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Pardeshiya Chhatravritti Yojana-2020 scholarship program. Amendments to the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Examination Rules and the amendment to the Jharkhand Jal Sansadhan Samvidak Niyamanvali-2018 were approved. The scheme for the Government Engineering College in Giridih was approved, with a budget of Rs 244 crore 73 lakh. The establishment of 109 Anganwadi centers in PVTG areas was approved under PM JANMAN. Rs 104.25 crore was approved for road works. The amended rules of the Jharkhand Government Drinking Water and Sanitation Department Contractors Registration and Renewal Rules-2012 were approved.
Pensions were approved for teachers and staff of 180 non-governmental aided madrasas and 11 recognized Sanskrit schools. Financial allocations included Rs 74.95 crore for a 132/33 kV grid sub-station, Rs 174.36 crore for a Baliapur-Maithon transmission line, Rs 67.59 crore for a Baliapur-Sindri transmission line, Rs 113.43 crore for a gas insulated sub-station in Dhanbad, Rs 77.66 crore for the Chandankiyari-Govindpur transmission line, and Rs 173.10 crore for a grid sub-station at Maithon. Additional funding of Rs 172.88 crore was allocated for a gas insulated sub-station at Maithon, and Rs 126.18 crore for the Maithon-Tundi transmission line. Finally, Rs 74.95 crore was approved for a grid sub-station in Sindri. Funding of Rs 28.77 crore was approved for power lines under the Jharkhand Consultancy Project, and Rs 39.88 crore for rescue platform vehicles. The formation and administration of the Jharkhand Budget Stabilization Fund Rules-2025 and the departmental notification regarding the Jharkhand Beverages Corporation Limited (JSBCL) were approved.
