Jharkhand CM Assures Support for Durga Puja Committees

The Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren, met with a joint delegation from various Durga Puja committees in Ranchi to discuss the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations in 2025. The meeting, held at the Chief Minister’s residence, saw representatives from the Mahanagar Durga Puja Committee, Zilla Durga Puja Committee, and Shri Mahavir Mandal Ranchi present. The delegation discussed preparations for the upcoming festival. They acknowledged the support provided by the state government and district administration under the Chief Minister’s leadership, specifically noting the consistent provision of essential services during the Durga Puja. This year, around 157 puja pandals are being set up in and around Ranchi. The delegation requested the continuation of support from the government. The Chief Minister was honored with traditional gifts. He assured the committees of the state government’s continued backing and urged the district administration and puja organizers to work together to ensure a peaceful and harmonious celebration. The Chief Minister also extended his greetings for the festival. The Chief Minister highlighted the state government’s commitment to developing Ranchi into a model city, focusing on public convenience and cleanliness. He emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the city and the importance of public participation in this initiative.
