Ranchi. Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has also distanced himself from the NITI Aayog meeting held in New Delhi. However, no official statement has been issued so far by the CM or the government for not attending this meeting, nor has any reason been given. By the way, CM Soren had written on social media ‘X’ on July 23 itself, see the example of federal structure – today the budget was presented and the NITI Aayog meeting has been scheduled on the 27th. So then whose support, whose development? Earlier on July 15, Hemant Soren had gone to New Delhi and had a courtesy meeting with PM Modi. Its pictures were shared on the PMO and CM Soren’s ‘X’ handle. When the media asked Soren about this, who returned to Ranchi after meeting the PM, he said that this is the structure of the federal system. He is running the central government.

We are running the state government. We should respect them and they should respect the states. The Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states had already announced their absence from the Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog, but Hemant Soren had not clarified his stand in this regard. Even in response to the questions of journalists after the cabinet meeting on July 4, Hemant Soren did not deny that he would not attend the NITI Aayog meeting. In such a situation, till Saturday morning, there was doubt about whether CM Hemant Soren would attend the meeting or not. By keeping distance from the meeting, Soren has given the message that he is with the stand of India Block.
