Weather authorities have issued a forecast predicting light to moderate rainfall across multiple districts of Jharkhand on Friday. This anticipated precipitation is due to a low-pressure system currently active over southern Bangladesh and its immediate vicinity, which is forecast to impact regional weather.

Recent precipitation data reveals that Govindpur in Dhanbad received the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours, totaling 37.4 mm. Other areas, including Kumardungi, Maheshpur, Baharagora, Pulia Majgaon, and Govindpur, also recorded substantial amounts of rain, ranging from 10 to 25 mm, indicating a wet spell in these locations.

Residents of Ranchi and surrounding areas experienced a cooler day on Thursday due to dense cloud cover that persisted from the morning. The meteorological department has stated that temperatures are likely to remain steady for the next five days, with no major fluctuations expected.

In terms of diurnal temperatures, Pakur recorded the highest maximum temperature at 35.5 degrees Celsius in the past day, while Latehar registered the lowest at 19 degrees Celsius. Ranchi’s maximum was 30 degrees Celsius, Jamshedpur, Daltonganj reached 32.4°C, Bokaro hit 33.6°C, and Chaibasa recorded 32.8°C.
