World Homeopathy Day 2025: The oldest Singhbhum Homeopathy Medical College in Jharkhand was established in 1953 in Jamshedpur-Eastern Singhbhum district. It has been closed since 2015. During that time, all the students were transferred to Mihizam Homeopathy College Hospital in Jamtara on the instructions of the High Court. At the same time, the college and girls hostels located in Sakchi and the hostel at Kashidih have been taken by Tisco. In his place, a new building is being prepared by Tisco near Sakchi Jubilee Park. In that building, both college and hospital will run in one place. This process will be completed in about six months. After that there is a plan to start this college after registration in a new way. At present, about 300 homeopathy doctors in the entire district are treating patients at different places. Almost all types of diseases are treated with homeopathy. Which includes arthritis, stones, respiratory related diseases, liver, dermatitis, sinus, gynecology.
Hospital will be 50 beds
Dr. Kulwant Singh, Principal cum Director of Singhbhum Homeopathy Medical College said that there will be a 50 -bed hospital in the new homeopathy college being built. In which patients will be treated. Along with this, OT, ward and other facilities will be present in the hospital. Along with this, students will be provided with class rooms, library, canteen and other facilities to study. After the building of the college, the Central Council of Homeopathy New Delhi (CCH) which has currently become the National Commission for Homeopathy (NCH). The recognition of running the college will be taken by applying in it. A committee of 20 members has been formed to run this college, which includes Chairman Rituraj Sinha (MD of Jusco), Secretary Rajneesh Kumar, Principal cum Director Dr. Kulwant Singh and others.
A student had complained about college closure in PMO
The recognition of Singhbhum Homeopathy Medical College Hospital was canceled by the Central Council of Homeopathy, stating the lack of resources. Whose complaint was made by a college student in the Prime Minister’s Office via email. After investigating the matter from the PMO, Jharkhand CMO and from there again sent the Chief Minister to mass media. After which the complainant was called to call Ranchi Information Building and questioned.
Research is done on medicine and disease all the time
Central Council for Research in Homeopathy which is the central government’s plan. It has a branch in almost every state of the country, where continuous research is done on homeopathy medicine and disease. Only then a drug comes in the market.
A total of 25 homeopathy doctors appointed in the district
Dr. MK Dixit of District Joint Dispensary East Singhbhum said that a total of 25 homeopathy doctors are working in the district. They are treated by them by sitting in 25 Ayushman Arogya temple of 11 blocks. Medication and investigation are available free of cost in all those centers.
