    The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has announced the recruitment of Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) for 3181 positions in Jharkhand. The recruitment includes both regular and backlog vacancies. JSSC has published an advertisement for the ANM Competitive Examination-2025, and online applications are invited. The detailed notification with information on eligibility criteria, age limits, and the application process will be available on the JSSC website shortly.

    Examination Fee Structure:
    The examination fee is Rs 100. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes in Jharkhand pay Rs 50. Candidates with disabilities of 40% or more in Jharkhand are exempt. Inaccurate fee payment by candidates outside of the ST/SC categories will result in rejection of the application.

    Exam Details:
    The exam will be conducted in the CBT (Computer Based Test) mode, with only one main examination phase. All questions will be objective and multiple-choice. Each correct answer will earn one mark, with no negative marking. The exam will be available in both Hindi and English. The main exam will be 60 minutes long, with a total of 50 questions. Only candidates who meet or exceed the minimum qualifying marks will be considered for the merit list. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for the unreserved category, 32% for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and women, 34% for Extremely Backward Classes (Schedule-1), 36.5% for Backward Classes (BC-Two), and 30% for Primitive Tribes, and this will be relaxed for contractual employees with at least five years of service.

    Merit List Criteria:
    The merit list will be based on the written examination, matriculation, intermediate qualifications, technical training, and experience. The written examination will be worth a maximum of 50 marks, technical training 10 marks, educational qualification 40 marks, and work experience in government hospitals in Jharkhand (5 marks/year) 50 marks, totaling 150 marks.
