    Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh’s talented judo player Kapil Parmar created history on Thursday. He performed brilliantly in the Paris Paralympics and won a bronze medal. Kapil achieved this success by defeating Brazil’s Elitton de Oliveira in the bronze medal match in the men’s J1-60 kg category. Kapil is originally a resident of Sehore.

    In 2009-10, he lost his eyesight due to electric shock. Kapil is 80 percent blind. He started playing Judo in adverse circumstances. This is his first Paralympics. Kapil has represented India in 17 international competitions so far. He has won a total of 13 international medals including 8 gold medals.

    There was a lot of celebration at Kapil’s house

    As soon as Kapil won the bronze medal match against the Brazilian player, the family and the people in the village started celebrating with great enthusiasm. There was a lot of fireworks, sweets were distributed and friends danced to the drums. Everyone was hoping that Kapil would win a medal for the country in Paris, and preparations had already been made for this.
