The much-anticipated Tamil film ‘Thug Life,’ a collaboration between Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, has not resonated with audiences as expected, resulting in a subdued box office performance. According to reports, the film earned Rs 6.50 crore on its fourth day, bringing the total collection to Rs 36.90 crore within four days. Adding to the film’s challenges, Kamal Haasan has spoken out against linguistic imposition, supporting linguistic diversity across India. He also discussed the film’s distribution strategy, including the plan for an eight-week window before its OTT release, aiming to support the theatrical business. The film boasts a large ensemble cast, including Trisha, Silambarasan, and several other well-known actors.
