Kannada Hit “Su From So” Announces OTT Debut

The 2025 Kannada comedy-drama “Su From So”, written and directed by J. P. Thuminad, is heading to an OTT platform. The film, which had its theatrical release on July 25, 2025, received positive feedback and became a commercial hit. Notably, “Su From So” is the highest-grossing Kannada film of the current year, and its success has contributed to the revival of large audiences in the Kannada film industry, following the trend set by films like “Raajakumara”, the KGF series, “Kantara”, and “777 Charlie”. Viewers can expect to stream “Su From So” on JioCinema starting September 5, 2025. The film’s cast includes Shaneel Gautham, J. P. Thuminad, Sandhya Arakere, Prakash Thuminad, Deepak Rai Panaje, Mime Ramdas, and Raj B. Shetty. The story centers on Ashoka, a young man from the coastal village of Marlur (near Someshwara), whose innocent infatuation leads to a rumor that he is possessed by a ghost named Sulochana, triggering a chain of humorous and supernatural events that shake up the village.
