    Following reports, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah clarified his role in the AICC’s OBC Advisory Council. He stated that he is a member, not the chairman, of the council. He also indicated that he is hosting the advisory committee meeting in Bengaluru, which will be chaired by Dr. Anil Jaihind. Siddaramaiah said he would accept additional responsibility if the party high command directs him to do so. He expressed plans to discuss his role in more detail with the party leadership. The meeting will include the attendance of former Congress chief ministers, current and former MPs, and MLAs.
