Patna buzzed with reverence as Minister Dilip Jaiswal commemorated Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur ahead of his birth anniversary. At a key seminar by the Social Justice Struggle Front and National Nai Mahasabha, discussions centered on NDA’s impactful work for the ultra-backward sections of society.

Addressing the gathering, Jaiswal extolled Thakur’s timeless qualities: simplicity, principled stand, and service to the masses. Thakur’s entire existence revolved around social equity and elevating the underprivileged, forging paths to a cohesive society that still guides us.

Jaiswal shared compelling anecdotes of Thakur’s frugality. A two-time CM and former Deputy CM, Thakur passed away owning nothing—no home, no bank balance. ‘In an age where leaders chase personal empires, this humility teaches us to serve the weakest first,’ Jaiswal reflected.

Thakur exemplified purity in public life, shunning nepotism and viewing politics as noble duty. His initiative on reservations for the most backward was revolutionary, embedding social justice into policy.

Marking Basant Panchami, Jaiswal offered prayers to Maa Saraswati for wisdom and virtue. He highlighted NDA’s ongoing efforts in education empowerment and cultural enrichment. ‘This sacred day should spark intellect and righteous actions in every heart,’ he urged.

As Bihar honors its son, Thakur’s story reaffirms that true leadership lies in sacrifice and inclusion, principles the NDA government upholds in its developmental agenda.
