Naiduniya representative, Katni. Four youths who went down to repair a pump in a field in Juhli village of NKJ police station area fainted. Due to the sudden fainting of the people accompanying them, the fifth person could not go inside and came out and reached the village. He also informed the people and the police. After the information, the SDM along with NKJ police reached the spot and started trying to take the four out of the well.
There was a fear of death of all four but the officials kept saying that they will say something only after they come out and investigation is done. According to the information, Juhli resident Sanjay Dubey has a farm in Nadan Haar between Juhli-Juhla village. On Thursday evening, Sanjay had gone there with his brother Ram Dubey, son Nikhil Dubey and two real brothers of the village Jaggi Kushwaha and Pintu Kushwaha to repair the motor of the well of the farm. All the four went down the well one by one and after going inside, they fell unconscious.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dubey was also descending into the well. He saw all the four people falling down and halfway down he also had trouble breathing so he came out. After coming out he informed the people of the village about the incident.
NKJ police was also informed. NKJ police station in-charge Neeraj Dubey reached the spot with force and after that SDM Pradeep Mishra and other officers also reached there on information. It is believed that the youth fainted due to leakage of poisonous gas.
Trouble due to darkness and no way
Sanjay Dubey’s fields are far away from the village and due to rain, the road to reach there was bad and there was a problem. Apart from this, as it was night, the police and administrative officials kept trying to get the youths out by arranging for light. Also, to prevent those going inside from facing any problem, the work of getting people down was being done by installing cylinders etc.
SDM Mishra said that efforts are being made to take out all the four people. He will be able to say something only after the doctors examine and give information about the condition. There is a possibility of leakage of methane gas inside the well. Rescue is going on till late evening to take out the four. A team has been called from Umaria.
