The 17th season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) has premiered, continuing its run as a favorite quiz reality show. 1. The initial question’s prize money has increased fivefold.
Previously, contestants on ‘KBC’ received Rs 1,000 for correctly answering the first question. However, this time, a major change has been made to the prize money, increasing it fivefold. This means that contestants can now win Rs 5,000 by correctly answering the first question.
2. The prize money for the first stage has also increased.
The makers have also made changes in the first stage of the show. Until the previous season, contestants would get Rs 10,000 for answering the first 5 questions correctly. But now, this prize money has been increased to Rs 25,000. This means that contestants can take home a fixed amount of Rs 25,000 after crossing the first stage.
3. The prize money for the second stage has also increased.
Similar to the first stage, the prize money for the second stage has also been increased. Until the previous season, the second stage was for Rs 3.20 lakh, but this time it has been increased to Rs 5 lakh. This means that contestants who cross the second stage will win a fixed amount of Rs 5 lakh.
4. Major changes in the Lifelines
A major change has also been made in the lifelines of the show. Instead of the four lifelines from the previous season, only three lifelines have been kept this time. ‘Audience Poll’ and ’50:50′ have been retained, but a new lifeline ‘Signal Indicator’ has been added. With the help of this new lifeline, the contestant can get a clue related to the question, which will help them answer correctly.
5. The color of the Hot Seat has changed
This year, ‘KBC’ is celebrating its silver jubilee, so its effect is also visible on the set of the show. The hot seat was black till now, but to celebrate this special occasion, the hot seat has also been changed from black to silver.
6. Reaching Amitabh Bachchan has become more difficult.
This time, the path to the hot seat has become a bit more difficult than before. Earlier, only the contestant who won the ‘Fastest Finger First’ round would directly sit on the hot seat. But now, there will be a ‘Quick 5’ round between the two contestants who win the ‘Fastest Finger First’.
