Two arrests have been made by Khunti police in connection with the grievous assault on businessman Shafiq Mian. The victim was shot on October 13th in Chhata village, Karra, and is currently hospitalized. Identified as Shahid Mian and Modasir Ahmed (aka Mo Raja Khan), the accused hail from different localities within the Khunti district. Police officials revealed that a specialized unit was formed to expedite the investigation into the shooting. During their confession, the arrested men cited a market dispute as the reason for the attack. The conflict reportedly involved competition over stall locations in the Rolaguttu market between Shahid Mian and Shafiq Mian. Authorities have successfully seized the scooter utilized during the crime and two live bullets. The swift resolution of this case underscores the police’s commitment to public safety and order in the region.
