Spreading festive goodwill, the Prerna Branch of Marwari Yuva Manch, Jhumritilaiya, organized a special Diwali celebration for children in Koderma. The ‘Anand Sabke Liye’ initiative brought joy to the Anganwadi center in Harijan Tola, where kids were presented with a delightful array of sweets, gifts, and essential materials. The children embraced the Diwali spirit, joyfully participating in activities like lighting sparklers. Former Zila Parishad President Shalini Gupta, the event’s chief guest, spoke about the profound joy derived from celebrating festivals with the underprivileged. She underscored that sharing happiness is the most significant form of social service, cultivating social consciousness and accountability in children. Gupta also made a heartfelt plea for the community to purchase traditional earthen diyas from local potters, supporting their craft and cultural legacy. Indra Dev Ram, District President of the Dalit Utpidan Sangharsh Samiti, acknowledged the Prerna Branch’s commendable social responsibility. Arvind Choudhary, representing the Agrawal Samaj, reiterated the Prerna Branch’s dedication to aiding the most vulnerable. Sarika Laddha, President of the Prerna Branch, shared the organization’s three-year track record of impactful social and religious service. Plans are also in motion to extend Diwali celebrations to an old age home through material distribution.
