Kolkata police have arrested a security guard in relation to the gang-rape of a law student. This arrest, which occurred on Saturday, is the fourth in this investigation.
The 24-year-old law student, who is from South 24 Parganas, reported that she was attacked by several people inside the guard room on college property. The student also informed the police that she had been offered a significant role within the student union before the assault.
Authorities confirmed, “Pinaki Banerjee (55), the guard at the Law College, has also been arrested in the case.”
