An ex-boyfriend in Korba, Chhattisgarh, has been accused of stabbing his former girlfriend, also injuring her mother in the process. The incident took place on June 7th in Digaonpur Rikshaw Para. The victim and her mother went to Rahul Sarathi’s (19) home with the intention of convincing him to stay away from their daughter, which resulted in the attack.
The Rampur police station is investigating the matter. Rahul had a history of visiting the girl’s home and exhibiting possessive behavior, often leading to arguments and physical altercations fueled by his suspicions. The girl had ended the relationship after a year due to his behavior. Despite the breakup, Rahul continued to pursue her. The victim claims that Rahul issued threats of violence against her and her mother after his release from jail.
The minor girl explained that Rahul often visited their home, using abusive language and engaging in physical assaults. He would say that she couldn’t be with anyone else and that he had become infamous in the neighborhood and at home because of her, so she couldn’t leave him. She further revealed that he had previously attacked her face, resulting in stitches above her eye, and this time he stabbed her in the chest.
Rahul, who is unemployed, continues to make threats. The police have registered a case based on the family’s complaint and are conducting an investigation. Rahul’s father is a government employee in the health department. The victim bore previous injury marks.
