At the TV9 Bharatvarsh’s Satta Sammelan, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav discussed the Ladli Behna Yojana, reiterating the government’s commitment to provide ₹3000 monthly to women by 2028. He responded to Congress’s scrutiny of the initiative, clarifying the phased implementation of payments. He mentioned the initial ₹1000, subsequent increases, and future plans, while contrasting his government’s approach with the financial practices of the Congress. Yadav emphasized the importance of empowering women and creating economic opportunities, including in the garment industry, where additional financial support would be provided. He cited research indicating improvements in family life, education, and health linked to the scheme. He acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s support and stated that the government will be reviewing the inclusion of new beneficiaries. Moreover, he discussed initiatives to promote financial independence among women through self-help groups, aiming to create ‘lakhpati sisters’.
