Bijapur/Bastar/ : Indravati National Park Area of Bijapur which is also called National Park Area. There was an encounter between the police and the Maoists on Sunday morning. In this operation, 31 Naxalites were killed by force personnel. On intelligence input, the soldiers carried out the operation in Indravati National Park area of Bijapur. After this success, a total of 81 Naxalites have been killed in Chhattisgarh so far this year. Among the slain Naxalites are 11 women Naxalites and 20 men are Naxalites. All Naxalites are being identified.
Information of Naxalites killed in Bijapur encounter: Bijapur SP Jitendra Yadav has said that 20 male Naxalites and 11 female Naxalites have been killed in Bijapur Naxal encounter. Naxalites killed in the encounter are being identified. Ak 47, SLR, INSAS Rifle, 303 Rifle, rocket launcher and BGL Launcher have been recovered from the encounter site. Along with this, a large quantity of explosives have also been recovered. This encounter took place on Sunday i.e. at 08:00 am in the forest between Madded Farsarh border area. Which continued to stop till 3-4 pm. After the encounter, the bodies of 11 women Naxalites and 20 male Naxalites have been recovered in the search. Naxalites killed in encounter are being identified
Bastar IG gave details of encounter: Bastar IG Sundararaj P has given information about the encounter in Bijapur National Park. He told the media that the soldiers have killed 31 Naxalites in the encounter of Bijapur. In this incident, 2 soldiers martyrs and two soldiers were seriously injured. Security forces were informed about the presence of a large number of Naxalites in the national park of Bijapur. On this input, a team of soldiers which had a team of DRG, STF and Bastar Fighter. This team of soldiers was sent to the National Park area for operation and search.
Names of martyred soldiers in encounter: Two soldiers have been martyred in this encounter. Naresh Dhruv, the soldier of Balodabazar Bhatapara, and Balod’s Wasit Rawate have been martyred in this encounter. His body was brought to Bijapur district headquarters. DRG jawan Jaggu Kalamu and Gulab Mandavi were injured in this encounter. These two soldiers were airlifted and taken to Raipur. They are undergoing treatment here.
“Naxalites ambush firing”: As soon as DRG, STF and Bastar Fighters personnel reached the National Park area of Bijapur. Naxalites started firing. Seeing the attack intensifying, the soldiers also took positions and fired on the Naxalites. In which 31 Naxalites were killed. In this encounter, two of our soldiers were killed and two were injured. After the encounter, the bodies of all the 31 uniformed Naxalites killed by the soldiers have been recovered by the soldiers. The injured soldiers have been airlifted and brought to Raipur.
