Ranchi: Ranchi police has had an encounter with a criminal involved in the murder of Civil Court advocate Gopi Krishna. After the encounter, Ranchi police has arrested the criminal. A criminal involved in Gopi’s murder has also been shot in the encounter with the police.
Firing on police
Ranchi’s Senior SP Chandan Kumar Sinha said that the killer of Civil Court advocate Gopi Krishna was identified on Friday itself. After identification, the SIT team was engaged in his search, meanwhile late on Saturday night it was reported that Roshan Kumar, a criminal involved in the murder of the lawyer, is hiding in Maheshpur of Angada police station area of Ranchi. When the information is confirmed, the police surrounded the house of Bagan Toli located near Maheshpur of Angada police station area. The criminal was asked to surrender by the police team but he started firing at the police. After the criminal’s firing, the police started retaliatory action. Several rounds were fired from the police side as well. Meanwhile, a bullet of the police hit the criminal. Despite being shot, the criminal tried to escape from the spot but the police team caught him. A pistol has also been recovered from the criminal injured in the encounter. The police team has also arrested his other accomplice by conducting a raid.
Roshan is the name of the criminal
The name of the criminal injured in the encounter with the police is Roshan Kumar. He is a resident of Sukhdev Nagar police station area of Ranchi. At present, he is being treated in the hospital under police supervision. On Friday, Roshan along with his other companions brutally stabbed advocate Gopal Krishna to death. When the condition of the injured criminal stabilizes, he will be questioned in the case related to the murder of Gopi Krishna.

Ranchi’s Senior SP Chandan Kumar Sinha had assured all the lawyers of the civil court that the murderers of Gopi Krishna would be arrested within 72 hours. Before 72 hours, the SSP’s team arrested the murderer.
