On a day of pride and reflection, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) observed its 21st Raising Day, drawing accolades from Union Home Minister Amit Shah and military brass. The celebrations underscored the force’s stature as India’s first responders in calamity.

Shah’s X post overflowed with appreciation, congratulating jawans and positioning NDRF as central to the government’s resilient nation goal. He saluted the fallen soldiers whose sacrifices embody ultimate patriotism.

The Army’s ADGPI relayed COAS General Upendra Dwivedi’s warm wishes, affirming disaster service as an eternal vow. BSF extended solidarity, while Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal hailed the bravehearts shielding the public relentlessly.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan extolled their fearless stance against nature’s fury, bowing to their noble service ethos. Haryana’s Nayab Singh Saini portrayed NDRF as courage incarnate, with the nation beaming over their humanitarian zeal.

From its 2003 formation, NDRF has pioneered multi-hazard response, deploying 16 battalions nationwide. Innovations in urban search-rescue and chemical-biological handling set global benchmarks. This anniversary renews focus on enhancing capabilities amid rising disaster frequency, ensuring NDRF remains the vanguard of safety and hope.
