Luxury Car Stopped: Police Arrest Sohail Khan and Girlfriend, Preventing Major Crime in Ranchi

Ranchi police successfully averted a potential criminal incident by arresting notorious criminal Sohail Khan and his girlfriend, Nandini Samant. The arrest took place in the Chanho police station area following a tip-off that led to a vehicle check near Sos Chowk. During the search of a luxury car, police found a loaded pistol, ammunition, and ₹80,000 in cash, indicating the couple’s intention to commit a serious crime. Sohail Khan, a resident of Garhwa, Jharkhand, has a history of 12 criminal cases, including robbery, extortion, and narcotics offenses. Nandini Samant, the girlfriend, is from Dholpur, Rajasthan. Along with the car, authorities confiscated a loaded pistol, a magazine with bullets, eight live rounds, 80,000 rupees in cash, gold rings, two mobile phones and two ATM cards.
