Mahindra recently unveiled the Vision S concept, creating speculation about its potential addition to the Scorpio lineup. The Vision S concept is showcased along with the Vision X, T and SXT concepts.

The Vision S features a distinctive design. It showcases LED headlights and a grille that incorporates LED elements along with the Mahindra twin peaks logo. The front bumper integrates a radar unit and parking sensors. Roof-mounted lights and pixel-shaped fog lamps further distinguish the SUV. The Vision S includes thick cladding along the doors and wheel arches for off-road readiness. It features 19-inch wheels with star-shaped rims, and side-mounted cameras instead of traditional ORVMs.

The rear of the SUV includes inverted tail lamps, and a bumper reflector unit similar to the Bolero Neo. A spare wheel, branded with Vision S, is mounted on the tailgate.

The interior introduces a new design, with a steering wheel featuring VISION S lettering and a fully digital driver’s display. The infotainment system is expected to utilize Mahindra’s NU UX system, offering wireless smartphone integration. The interior features dual-tone upholstery, redesigned door trims, premium seats, a panoramic sunroof, and grab handles.

The Vision S shares Mahindra’s NU-IQ platform with the Vision T, SXT, and X concepts. This platform supports SUVs ranging from 3,990 mm to 4,320 mm in length and accommodates petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrains. It is compatible with front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.

The concept’s fuel cap suggests the potential for an ICE version, possibly featuring a 1.2-litre turbo petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Variable-ratio steering is expected to improve handling.
