Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, addressing a public event in Pipariya village of Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district, criticized the previous government’s lack of focus on developing the district’s infrastructure, despite its formation during their tenure. He stated that his government is committed to rectifying this by providing Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai with modern infrastructure and facilities, thereby ensuring overall development.

Chief Minister Sai announced a series of development projects totaling ₹611.21 crore for Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, which included the foundation stone laying for 18 projects worth ₹470.98 crore and the inauguration of 53 projects worth ₹140.23 crore.

These development works represent a crucial step towards achieving the vision of a developed Khairagarh, according to the Chief Minister. He pledged to realize the aspirations of the district’s residents. Addressing public sentiments, he announced plans to develop Pailimeta as a tourist destination, construct a high-level water tank in Chhuikhadan (at a cost of ₹50 lakh), establish a ‘Paan Cafe’ to promote betel leaf cultivation, build a 500-seater auditorium in Khairagarh, and establish a college in Mudhipar. These projects will be included in the upcoming financial year’s budget.

Chief Minister Sai expressed his emotional attachment to Khairagarh, Rajnandgaon, Kawardha, and Manpur-Mohla. He assured that with the responsibility of leading the state, he is dedicated to propelling Chhattisgarh’s development with commitment and sincerity. He highlighted the government’s rapid implementation of welfare schemes for all segments of society in the last 18 months and its efforts to fulfill the guarantees made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s efforts to protect farmers’ interests by purchasing 21 quintals of paddy per acre at ₹3,100 per quintal, offering them direct benefits. He also mentioned the Prime Minister Awas Yojana, under which 18 lakh houses have been approved, providing employment opportunities for construction workers.

The ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana’ was presented as a significant step towards empowering women economically, with plans for a new application phase. Currently, 70 lakh women in the state are benefiting from monthly financial aid under this scheme, and many have started their own businesses.

Additional initiatives included increased purchase rates for tendu leaf collectors, financial assistance of ₹10,000 each for 5.62 lakh landless agricultural laborers, and the Shriram Lala Darshan Yojana, which has enabled 22,000 devotees to visit Ayodhya.

Chief Minister Sai expressed confidence that Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai would become a leading district in the state, characterized by strong infrastructure and comprehensive development, through the cooperation of the people.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh praised the Chhattisgarh government, under Chief Minister Sai, for being the first to procure paddy from farmers at a support price of ₹3,100 per quintal for 21 quintals per acre. He emphasized the government’s focus on complete implementation of schemes to ensure that benefits reach every individual.

The event was attended by Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan, MP Santosh Pandey, Khairagarh MLA Yashoda Verma, along with other elected representatives, officials, and dignitaries.
