Naidunia Representative, Seoni: A major road accident occurred on Jabalpur-Seoni National Highway 44 on Friday afternoon. A tractor-trolley carrying workers was hit by a speeding container. The impact of the container was so severe that the tractor-trolley overturned on the four-lane road. In the accident, a female laborer traveling in a tractor-trolley died on the spot, while 26 others were injured. Of these, two seriously injured have been referred to Jabalpur.
Workers were returning after plucking corn
Actually, after plucking maize from the field, 27 workers were returning home in a tractor-trolley. While crossing the highway, a speeding container vehicle hit a tractor-trolley heavily. The collision with the container was so severe that the tractor-trolley overturned on the four-lane road. After this horrific accident, there was an outcry on the highway.
Accident amid heavy rain
Bandol police and ambulance staff reached the spot amidst heavy rain and immediately took the injured to the district hospital. Most of the injured workers are women. A female worker traveling in a tractor-trolley died at the incident site, while 26 are injured, out of which two seriously injured have been referred to Jabalpur.
Bandol police station in-charge Rajesh Dubey said that the injured have been admitted to the district hospital. A detailed investigation is being conducted in the matter.

The deceased woman has been identified as Bati Yadav (35), a resident of Amkhola. Among the seriously injured, Ramkala Bai and Ramkala Bai resident Nandi Barghat have been referred to Jabalpur for better treatment. Other 24 injured admitted in the district hospital are undergoing treatment.

Screaming during heavy rain
