In a major development in Bijapur district, 13 high-profile Naxalites have surrendered to security forces, marking a significant setback for the Naxal movement. These individuals, carrying a combined reward of ₹23 lakh, have chosen to abandon the path of violence and join the mainstream.

The government is fully committed to the rehabilitation, skill development, and reintegration of the surrendered Naxalites, ensuring they can live with dignity. The recent surrenders are a testament to the success of the ‘Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy – 2025’ and ‘Niyad Nella Nar Yojana.’ With the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the government is working to eradicate Naxalism from Chhattisgarh and the entire country by March 2026.
