The incident took place in the Manjhampur area, specifically in Ward Number 15, under the jurisdiction of the Lakho police station. The victim, identified as Rajiv Kumar, was returning home after attempting to collect an outstanding payment when he was ambushed and restrained. The attackers then initiated a violent assault. Local residents reported the incident to the Lakho police.
After rescuing the victim, the police initially took him to the police station instead of immediately providing medical care. The victim’s family has raised concerns, stating that there was a delay in getting him medical attention. After the family intervened, the injured Rajiv Kumar was transported to Sadar Hospital in Begusarai for treatment, where he is currently receiving care.
Police have detained two individuals in connection with the attack and are conducting an inquiry. According to Sandeep Kumar, an officer from Lakho police station, the police received information about the assault and, upon arriving at the scene, found the man injured. The police then transported him to Sadar Hospital in Begusarai for medical treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
